The ending to my week…

I think that this past week was one of the most emotionally difficult weeks for me in a long time. It has pretty much been a roller coaster ride with my emotions. There have just been so many different things running through my mind some positive and some negative, that I couldn’t seem to get my thoughts to calm down. For the purposes of this post, I am going to focus on the positive things that happened this week.

The big thing is the intake of less caffeine. Surprisingly, it wasn’t as hard as I expected. Tuesday through Friday  I had three cups of coffee, at most,  and that only happened one day. I noticed I am tired by the end of the day, more so than normal. The best part of the cutting back on my caffeine intake is my sleep. I did wake up one night, but I fell back asleep right away instead of it taking the normal three hours to fall back asleep. While I am still getting up early without an alarm clock, I am sleeping through the night. I hope I can continue this until Friday of next week. I am hoping that this will get to be a habit and I will eventually only drink one and at the most two cups a day without thinking about it.

Another really awesome thing is that I went to the gym today. I have been slacking in my gym visits this week because I have been a little unfocused in my normal routines. I ran today and for the first time ever I ran thirty minutes straight. I am really happy about this because it shows that the extra rest is helping my body. Plus my body must have needed the rest because I was able to improve after taking a longer than normal break from running.

This weekend I am going to try to make some goals for next week. More things that I want to improve. I haven’t been meditating like I said I would this week, so that will probably be one of the goals for next week.
