Feeling Pretty Good for a Monday – Warning Multiple Random Topics :)

Yes it is Monday, but it wasn’t too bad. I am finally feeling almost like my old self, well my old self as of three weeks ago, as opposed to my old self from two years ago. I am almost 100% recovered from the plague that invaded my sinuses. Had a crazy busy day at work, but after work is really where I am feeling back on track.

I made it to the gym today and ran. I ran 10 minutes, walked 5 minutes and then ran another 10 minutes. It is a good start to getting back on track. I think that I am not going to worry as much about how fast I run, my goal is just to make it to the gym and run. I usually stay on the treadmill for about an hour and walk the last portion of it.  Go me and getting back on track!

I also entered a bunch of tasks into my iPhone task tracker app. I have to say that I really like the app that I have for my phone – it is nice and simple. Basically just a big checklist that I can assign dates to and it gives me a reminder.

I also have made a very serious decision…..I think (drumroll please) I am going to knit another scarf. I have these color schemes in my head that I want to try. I am thinking about some crazy lime green and pink combination. I am not ready for and patterns yet. Too much to pay attention to for my taste.

One other festive thing that I am doing is going to Victoria for the August long weekend. I need to get out of this city. I really want to take a walk outside without being harassed by a gang of mosquitoes, so I decided to go to a place that is bug free. Plus who can beat the ocean and the mountains in one place. It will be some good me time. I plan on walking around Victoria, reading and knitting. Nothing too crazy. I am staying at a bed and breakfast called Cottage Pirouette Bed and Breakfast. It received good reviews and it seems to be in a quiet location, a bit away from the inner harbor. Plus one of the coolest things is I can take a water taxi to the inner harbor area if I don’t feel like walking for 35 minutes.
