Here I am in Victoria. The flights were non-eventful which is always a good thing. The airport here is super small, which made it easy to get around. It was handy that the shuttle service was right next to the baggage claim. The shuttle driver was friendly and the ride was scenic. I remember now what I love about this area – mountains, ocean and huge pine trees. It brings me a great sense of inner peace.
I arrived at the bed and breakfast, no one answered the door so I let myself in. I met the owner, she seems friendly and helpful already. I have no real plans at the moment for the weekend besides knitting and reading. The rest will happen as it should.
I read an inspiring quote today as the shuttle was driving by a church – “Closer to the shepard, further from the wolves” it seems fitting in a way.
