It is interesting to see how some people get penalized for feeling. It is as though having an emotion is a weakness. Or it is a competition to see whose emotion is stronger. Now how do you judge who feels more sadness or more anxiety? Plus, why would you even want to compare something like that? Everyone should be allowed to feel how they feel and not have to worry about sharing how they feel with those closest to them. To judge someone for how they feel can be damaging. When someone opens up they are allowing themselves be vulnerable and trusting that the other person will listen, maybe even be supportive.
