Well it has been a few years, but I am finally back in Japan. I absolutely love it. It feels as though I never left.
So far travelling by myself has been good. My big successes for the first day here are – finding the post office in Narita Airport so that I could pick up my portable wi-fi, finding my hotel in Ikebukuro at night while walking by myself, going to two vending machines (oh, how I have missed the vending machines), picking up my JR Pass and seeing a robot at a store. That seems like a lot since I have only been here five hours and 1.5 of those were spent on a bus.
Tomorrow it is off to reserve my Shinkansen seats to Fukuoka and then I plan on roaming around. Plus I will start taking picture and videos.
Now off to sleep, I feel as though I am still on a plane.
