The ending of 2012 was one of the best endings to a year that I have had in a long time. 2012 started off pretty rough and looking back it seems like it was just yesterday. It definitely was a year of endings and new beginnings. From saying goodbye to people who moved away, to changing jobs, to being in a new relationship and finally to moving. Lots of change. From change comes growth.
I ended 2012 in the perfect way – talking and spending time with the man I love. No crowds, or parties it was time spent listening and being listened to and that is something that is worth more than anything to me. It is those moments of being close that really make things feel as though everything is exactly as it should be in the world.
I am grateful for each year that goes by, because I know that I could not have had The 2012 I did without going through the 2011 that I went through. I carry forward with me all of the new knowledge and experiences I have had in 2012 into 2013.
2013 is going to be my year of finding balance or at least the continuing journey to find balance. I am so thankful that I have my loved ones around me if not physically at least in my thoughts. 2013 is going to be a wonderful year.
