Nothing like having a relaxing Saturday and planning vacations. Makes me feel happy. I am planning to visit Japan in Spring 2014. Unfortunately I will probably miss the Sakura Festival, but that is okay. I am trying to avoid some crowds. Japan is beautiful no matter what so I am looking forward to visiting places that I haven’t been to before and some that I have.
So topping the list of places to visit:
– Tokyo (Definitely)
– Kyoto (My favorite city in the world so far, so definitely a must)
– Nagasaki (Depending)
– Hakone – Mt. Fuji, enough said. Just look at the link, seriously take a look – http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e5200.html
– Okinawa (Depending)
– Sapporo (Depending)
Now all my depending cities and locations depend on how I am getting around. I know that I will be purchasing a Japan Rail Pass. That is how we travelled around Japan last time. It is a great way to get around Japan – http://www.japanrailpass.net/eng/en001.html
I also just heard of the Star Alliance Japan Airpass. This may help me go to Okinawa, so it is definitely something I will be looking into – http://www.ana.co.jp/wws/us/e/wws_common/fare/special/airpass.html
For places to stay I am checking out Airbnb, I had some good luck with it when I was in Florida and there are some pretty good deals in Japan. Plus it is a chance to actually meet people in Japan. I recommend checking it out – https://www.airbnb.ca/?locale=en
